Free quick check, not an audit

A quick accessibility check of your page

Type your domain. We read the HTML of your home page and check seven things that are easy to get wrong and easy to fix.

What happens to your data. The domain you type is sent to our check service, which reads the public site once and returns the result. We do not store the domain, the result or your address. We keep only an anonymous daily count of how many checks ran. We set no cookies for this. The check reads only what any visitor can see.

What this checks

This is a quick automatic check of the page source: is the language declared, does the page have a title, do images have alt text, do form fields have labels, is the heading order consistent, is zooming blocked and are there links that only say "click here". These are some of the most common problems that screen reader users and people with low vision run into.

The check reads the HTML your server sends. It does not run the page in a browser, so it cannot see content added by JavaScript, colours and contrast, keyboard use or how a screen reader actually sounds.

Limits, stated plainly

  • This is a quick automatic check. It is NOT a WCAG 2.1 AA or EN 301 549 audit and it does not say whether a page meets any accessibility law or standard. A page can pass all seven checks and still be hard to use.
  • It reads one page (the home page), as sent by the server, and only the seven points listed.
  • We promise no result and do not interpret accessibility law. This is not legal advice.
  • If the check cannot complete, it says so. We never treat an error as "no problem".
Need a real audit? This quick check is not a WCAG 2.1 AA or EN 301 549 audit. For Romanian public institutions we offer a written audit of a site (accessibility, security, speed, operation) as item DVL-AN-01 in the SEAP electronic catalogue, 1.900 lei (excl. VAT, one-time): details on devaland.cloud. For other organisations, write to us and describe the site; the quick check above stays free.
