Free check, takes a few seconds

When does your SSL certificate and domain registration expire?

Type your domain. We read the certificate your site presents and the public registration record, and tell you the dates in plain words.

What happens to your data. The domain you type is sent to our check service, which reads the public site once and returns the result. We do not store the domain, the result or your address. We keep only an anonymous daily count of how many checks ran. We set no cookies for this. The check reads only what any visitor can see.

What this checks

An expired certificate shows visitors a full-page warning, and an expired domain takes the website and the email down together. Both are usually renewed automatically, and both fail quietly when a card expires or a renewal email goes to someone who left.

The check connects to your site on the secure port, reads the certificate (issuer, validity dates, names covered, TLS version) and, where the registry publishes it, the domain expiry date from public RDAP. It does not test the rest of your server.

Limits, stated plainly

  • Domain expiry comes from the registry's public RDAP service. Some registries do not publish it (for .ro domains it is not available), and then we say so instead of guessing. Check the date in your registrar account.
  • The certificate is read from the main address you type. Other subdomains may use other certificates.
  • We promise no result and give no compliance verdict. This is not legal advice.
  • If the check cannot complete, it says so. We never treat an error as "no problem".
