Deal OS · For Search Funds
Review more deals. Hire no one.
The AI Deal OS gives a search fund the operational depth of an established firm — first-pass diligence in hours, a question pack ready for the management call, and an auditable record for your investors — without adding a single analyst to payroll.
Request a Working SessionThe search problem
The constraint is your calendar, not your judgment.
One person, the whole funnel.
Sourcing, screening, diligence, and investor updates all land on you. Every CIM you read end-to-end is a week you are not talking to the next ten owners — and good targets go cold while you are heads-down.
Reading is the bottleneck, not judgment.
You can decide quickly once the picture is clear. The problem is assembling the picture: normalizing seller financials, reconciling the CIM against the tax returns, and turning a data room into a question list.
Your investors expect a paper trail.
A funded search is accountable to its backers. Decisions made from memory and scattered notes do not survive an LP conversation — and they do not survive your own second look three weeks later.
Hiring an analyst is premature.
You cannot justify a full-time hire before you own anything, and a contractor needs the same context re-explained every engagement. You need leverage that does not add headcount.
The solution
A diligence and sourcing engine that runs with you.
The Deal OS takes the mechanical weight off a search: it keeps origination warm while you are in a live process, turns documents into cited screening memos, and runs a diligence-automation pass that flags what does not add up. You stay on the two things that only you can do — choosing what to pursue and deciding what to buy.
How a deal moves
From inbox to management call.
01 · Targets in
Forward a CIM, a teaser, or a seller’s financial package. No new system to learn — the deal arrives the way it already does.
02 · Structured first pass
A screening memo comes back in hours: business model, revenue quality, customer concentration, owner dependence, and an against-thesis read — every claim cited to the page it came from.
03 · Contradiction sweep
The CIM, the financials, the tax returns, and your call notes are cross-checked. Disagreements — add-backs that do not reconcile, growth claims the statements do not support — surface before you sink a weekend into the deal.
04 · Question pack out
A prioritized, stage-appropriate question list for the management call or the LOI, each question tied to the document that raised it. You walk in prepared instead of improvising.
What changes
The leverage of a team, at the cost of software.
Review more deals
First-pass diligence in hours, not a lost week, means more targets reach a real decision — and your pipeline keeps moving while a live process runs.
Stay organized under load
Every deal carries its own document state, open questions, and inconsistency register. Nothing lives only in your head or your inbox.
An auditable record
Cited summaries and a flagged-inconsistency log give your investors — and your future self — a defensible trail for every decision.
No analyst to hire
You get the operational depth of an established firm without payroll, onboarding, or re-explaining context every time.
How we prove it
See it on one of your own deals first.
We do not ask you to take the output on faith. In the working session we run the Deal OS on a live or recent target from your own pipeline and hand back the screening memo, the contradiction map, and the management question pack. If it does not earn its place in your process, you still leave with a clear map of where your search leaks time. Read how the system works end-to-end on the AI Deal OS overview.
Questions
Search-fund FAQs.
Is the Deal OS only for funded search funds?
No. It is built for both funded and self-funded searchers, and for solo searchers as well as two-person teams. The system scales down to one operator and up to a small partnership without changing how it works.
Does it replace my QoE provider or counsel?
No. It does the preliminary, repeatable work — organizing the data room, surfacing contradictions, and preparing question lists — so that when your accountant and attorney engage, their hours go to judgment rather than collation. Confirmatory diligence stays with your advisors.
How is this different from a generic AI chatbot?
Every summary, flag, and question is source-linked to the document and page that produced it, and structured for verification against your screening criteria. It is built for a process you can defend to investors, not a one-off chat.
What do I actually have to do to start?
Forward the documents you already receive. In a working session we configure the system to your thesis and document standards and run it with you on a live or recent target so you can see the output on a real deal before committing.
Who owns my deal flow and documents?
You do. Devaland is not a broker or marketplace and does not sit between you and sellers. Your pipeline, documents, and contacts remain yours.
Put an operating team behind your search.
Bring one live deal to a confidential working session and watch the system turn it into a cited memo, a contradiction map, and a question pack — before you decide whether to pursue it.
