The operating system for your acquisition.

How It Works

The system follows the deal, stage by stage.

The Deal OS is organized around the lifecycle you already run. At each stage it takes over the mechanical work and leaves the judgment to you.

01

Thesis & sourcing

Turn your investment criteria into a target shortlist and first-draft outreach with agent workflows you run and tune, and keep every owner, touch, and next step in one pipeline, so origination keeps moving while you are heads-down on a live process.

02

Screening & IOI

CIM intake and structured first-pass summaries, normalization of seller financial presentations, and IOI-stage question lists, each item tied back to the source page it came from.

03

LOI & diligence

Data-room completeness tracking, contradiction sweeps across the CIM, financial statements, tax returns, contracts, and management-call notes, and confirmatory diligence request lists ready for counsel and your QoE provider.

04

Close & ownership

Closing checklist control, handover documentation, a first-hundred-days operating cadence, and ongoing portfolio monitoring once you own the business.

Modules

Six modules. One system of record.

Sourcing agents

A thesis becomes a target shortlist, first-draft owner outreach, and follow-up prompts, run as agent workflows you can inspect and tune, so proprietary deal flow keeps building while you work a live process.

Deliverable, A maintained pipeline with owner-level contact history and next-touch dates.

Preliminary Diligence

First-pass review of CIMs, financial statements, and seller documents in hours instead of weeks. Summaries are structured to your screening criteria and cite the page they came from.

Deliverable, A screening memorandum per target, with source citations throughout.

Contradiction Detection

Every material figure and claim is cross-referenced across documents and call notes. Disagreements between the CIM, the financials, and what management said are surfaced before you commit.

Deliverable, A flagged-inconsistency register with citations for both sides of every conflict.

Quality-of-Earnings Tie-Out

The same figure is tied out across the CIM, the financials, and the tax returns, every discrepancy flagged and cited. Each EBITDA add-back is judged on whether it survives a sale, and the seller's adjusted EBITDA is haircut to a defensible number, a QoE first pass without the QoE invoice.

Deliverable, A cross-document reconciliation and an add-back scrutiny table, every figure cited.

Management-Call Cross-Check

Upload the call transcript and what management said is checked against what the documents support. Both the spoken statement and the documentary basis are quoted and verified to source, so the gaps between the room and the data room are flagged.

Deliverable, A said-vs-documented register, each side quoted and cited.

IC Memo Draft

A buyer-ready investment-committee memo drafted from the verified findings and the tie-out: recommendation, thesis, financial summary, key risks, and conditions to close. Every figure carries its citation.

Deliverable, A committee-ready memo, candid that the first pass still wants a formal QoE.

Shareable Cited Brief

Send partners, lenders, or your IC a private, read-only link to a brief, citations still clickable and no login. Links expire and can be revoked, so a confidential brief travels without leaving your control.

Deliverable, An unguessable, expiring, revocable link, no login required.

Document Control

A living model of what the data room should contain for a business of this type and stage, what has arrived, what is missing, what is stale, and what to request next.

Deliverable, A missing-document request list, current at all times.

Question Engine

Stage-appropriate buyer and seller question lists generated from the actual documents, not generic checklists. Management-call agendas, IOI clarifications, confirmatory diligence requests.

Deliverable, A prioritized question set per stage, each question linked to the document that raised it.

Deal Command Center

One dashboard per deal: pipeline status, document state, open questions, flagged inconsistencies, and next actions, for you and for anyone you bring into the process.

Deliverable, A single, current view of every live deal.

Who We Serve

Configured to how your firm actually works.

Search funds & acquisition entrepreneurs

You are running a funded or self-funded search, alone or with one partner, and every hour spent re-reading a CIM is an hour not spent talking to owners. The Deal OS gives you the operational depth of a full deal team: sourcing that never goes cold, first-pass diligence that arrives structured, and a record your investors can audit.

Independent sponsors

Deals arrive in clusters and your credibility depends on moving fast without missing things. The system keeps several processes moving in parallel, each with its own document state, question lists, and inconsistency register, without adding headcount between closings.

Boutique M&A advisors

Every mandate repeats the same preliminary work: assembling the document picture, finding the gaps, preparing the question rounds. The Deal OS standardizes that layer across sell-side and buy-side engagements, so senior time goes to judgment and negotiation rather than collation.

Micro-PE teams

You hold several operating companies and look at many more. The system applies one process discipline across the portfolio, acquisition pipeline, diligence, and ongoing monitoring, without the cost of an institutional back office.

Scope

What this is not.

Not a generic chatbot.

Outputs are source-linked and structured for verification. Every summary, flag, and question points back to the document and page that produced it.

Not a marketplace or broker.

Your deal flow, your documents, and your pipeline stay yours. We do not sit between you and sellers, and we do not take success fees.

Not a replacement for your advisors.

Counsel, accountants, and QoE providers still do what they do. The system makes their hours count by arriving prepared: organized documents, surfaced inconsistencies, a quality-of-earnings first pass, and ready question lists.

Free Resource

The Deal Team, 20 cited Claude agents for acquirers.

One agent for every job in a deal, from the first teaser to the IC memo, each built to cite its source or cut the claim. Open-source and free; the same discipline Deal OS automates and verifies across a whole data room.

Security & data

How we handle your data

Confidential deal documents deserve real care. Every workspace can sign a mutual NDA in-app, and every plan includes encryption at rest, recoverable deletes, and GDPR-aligned data handling.

Mutual NDA, self-serve

Sign a mutual NDA with Devaland from inside your workspace in a couple of clicks. Our side is pre-signed, so it executes immediately, and you get a downloadable signed PDF plus an electronic-signature audit trail (signatory, timestamp, IP, and a hash of the exact document signed).

Encrypted at rest

Uploaded documents are encrypted on disk, on EU infrastructure in France.

Isolated per workspace

Each client's workspace is separated at the database and file level, and your documents are not shared or used to train models.

Recoverable deletes

Deleting a document moves it to a recoverable trash first, so an accidental delete can be undone. It is permanently removed after a grace period.

Retention you control

Keep documents for the life of the deal, or set them to expire automatically.

Cited briefs you can export

Each claim carries a verbatim quote checked against your source page, and you can download the finished brief or IC memo as a PDF.

Encrypted backups

Backups run nightly, encrypted and off-site, with periodic restore checks.

GDPR-aligned

EU hosting, a Data Processing Agreement under Standard Contractual Clauses, and self-serve data export and deletion.

Questions

Deal OS FAQs.

What is the Devaland AI Deal OS?

It is a self-serve platform that runs the operational side of an acquisition, AI-assisted sourcing, preliminary diligence automation, and a deal command center, in one system of record. You upload a CIM or a data room and get back a cited screening memo, a contradiction map, and a management question pack, with every output linked to the source document and page.

Who is Deal OS for?

Search funds, independent sponsors, boutique M&A advisors, and micro-PE teams, buyers who review more deals than a small team can read by hand and need an auditable process without the cost of an institutional back office.

How is Deal OS different from a virtual data room (VDR)?

A VDR stores and permissions documents; it does not read them. Deal OS reads the data room and produces analysis, summaries to your screening criteria, ranked red flags, and contradiction checks across every source, each finding cited back to the document and page. Many teams use a VDR to host the deal and Deal OS to get through it.

How much does Deal OS cost?

Deal OS is self-serve and tiered, starting at $750/month with the diligence layer included; you can sign up, upload a CIM, and read your first cited brief in minutes with no sales call, and cancel any month. Prices are in USD and exclude VAT. See os.devaland.com/pricing for current tiers.

Does Deal OS replace my accountant, attorney, or QoE provider?

No. It does the preliminary, repeatable, document-heavy work: an organized data room, a contradiction register, a ready question list, and now a quality-of-earnings first pass that ties the numbers out across the CIM, financials, and tax returns and scrutinizes the add-backs. That is a first pass, not a formal QoE engagement. The signed opinion your lender and reps-and-warranties rely on, and the legal and accounting judgment, still come from your providers. The difference is they start from an organized, already-flagged position instead of a cold data room.

Is my deal data kept confidential, and where is it hosted?

Your documents, deal flow, and pipeline stay yours, Devaland is not a broker or marketplace and does not sit between you and the counterparty. You can sign a mutual NDA with us directly in your workspace, pre-signed on our side so it takes effect immediately, with a downloadable signed PDF and an electronic-signature audit trail. Your workspace, documents, and database are hosted in the European Union (France); AI and payment subprocessors are governed by our DPA under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The product moves every week.

A few of the things we've added lately, every one in service of the same standard: a claim is cited to its source, or it doesn't reach you.

Sign a mutual NDA in your workspace

Every workspace can sign a mutual NDA with Devaland in a couple of clicks. Our side is pre-signed, so it takes effect immediately, and you download a signed PDF with a tamper-evident audit trail (signatory, timestamp, IP, and a SHA-256 hash of the exact document). Screen new deals automatically

Turn it on once and the first time a deal's documents finish processing, Deal OS runs a quick screen on its own, no Generate click. It is off by default, admin-controlled, and stays inside your plan's usage. Set the workspace up the way you work, and a new deal is screened the moment it lands.

Meet Nadia, our multilingual assistant

Our website assistant now has a name and a face. Nadia answers in English, German, French or Spanish, by typing or by voice, can read her answers aloud on request, and is built to be keyboard and screen-reader accessible. She still answers only from our documentation and cites her source.

Deeper citation checks

Beyond confirming a quote exists in your documents, a second pass now checks that the quote actually supports the claim it is attached to. Claims with weak support are flagged down, so what reaches you is not just cited, it is backed.

Tie-out to Excel

Export the financial tie-out and EBITDA add-back scrutiny to a clean Excel workbook, every figure on its own row with the verbatim source quote beside it, so you can work the numbers where you already do.

Briefs in your language

Working a German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch or Romanian deal? Read the CIM in its own language and get the brief back in yours, with every cited quote kept verbatim in the source document so verification still holds. You can read real German, French and Spanish example briefs, no login, in the sandbox below.

Edit in Word or Google Docs

Export a brief or IC memo to Word, add your own commentary and reformat it for your committee, then send. The .docx opens in Google Docs in one click too, so you can edit wherever you already work.

Export in your format

Beyond Word: download a brief as a polished PDF for your committee, Markdown for your notes, or JSON for your own tools, each one carrying the same cited sources.

Encryption at rest

Every document you upload is encrypted on disk, on EU infrastructure, isolated per workspace and never used to train models.

Recoverable deletes & retention

Delete a document and it moves to a recoverable trash before permanent removal, and you control how long documents are kept.

White-label exports

On Scale and Enterprise, remove our footer credit and present briefs to your investment committee or lender entirely as your own.

Go / No-Go quick-screen

A fast pre-brief verdict on a teaser or CIM, GO, CAUTION or NO-GO with cited reasons, so you pass on weak deals before spending diligence time.

Cited deal score

A 1–5 scorecard across financial quality, growth, concentration and owner dependence, each score backed by a verbatim quote checked against your documents.

Brief audit trail

Every brief shows how it was produced, what was verified autonomously, the claims that were discarded, and what was held back for your judgement.

Your home digest

Sign in to a “while you were away” summary, now tracked from your last visit: recent briefs, what was verified, contradictions found, and new findings since you actually last looked.

OCR & multi-format ingest

Scans, images, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF and HTML, read into the data room, with a confidence guard that flags weak extractions instead of guessing.

Saved diligence templates

Save your checklist once and apply it to every new deal for consistent coverage across the pipeline.

In-app help assistant

A smart assistant lives in your dashboard, ask how Deal OS works and get answers from our knowledge base, walled off from your deal data.

Brief PDF export

Export a clean, fully-cited brief or IC memo to PDF, with a clickable contents page and bookmarks for fast navigation and a content fingerprint so a forwarded copy stays verifiable. Track the documents a deal still needs.

Bring institutional process to your next acquisition.

Start self-serve in minutes, or have us set it up for you. Either way you can see a sample cited brief first, then run your own deals the moment you are in. Cancel any month.
